Hi friends, I’m back.

I was sent this by a good friend and it has inspired me to take action. My hope is that you too will be moved to doing something you have been putting off.

1. Can’t
The use of this word is primarily responsible for countless hopes
and dreams lying dormant on the “drawing boards” of our lives.
Completely eliminate your use of this word and you will see a
significant positive change in your life.

2. But
When used as a conjunction, “but” negates whatever statement that
precedes it.” I want to study law, but it will take a lot of
hard work.” Your mind does not focus on your desire to become a
lawyer or judge; it only sees the hard work you will need to
perform. Replace “but” with “and.”

3. Should
Any statement that uses the word “should” generally elicits guilt.
“I should go to the gym,” makes you feel guilty for not going.
Replace this word with “choose,” as in, “I choose to go to the
gym, or I choose not to go to the gym today.”

4. Maybe
This word indicates indecision, doubt, or uncertainty as to a
course of action. For example, “Maybe I’d better wait to…”

For those of us interested in personal development, “maybe”
should be used very sparingly. Use “I will” or “I will not”
instead of maybe. The mere sound of the more positive words
emits feelings of confidence and resolve which are so important
to our personal well-being.

5. Soon or Later
Both are indefinite references to time. They are also
non-committal. They should be replaced with a definite time and
date. When someone tells you he or she is going to do something
“soon” or “later,” there is no way to determine when whatever it
is will get done. Imagine what could happen to deadlines and your
integrity when these words are used frequently.

6. Someday
Someday, like soon or later, is much too indefinite, and when it
is used, it shows the same lack of commitment. Replace “someday”
with a specific date and time.

7. Never
This word is absolute, and there are only limited situations
when “never” is absolutely true. The use of this word, in my
opinion, suggests a closed mind, which seriously hinders our
self-growth efforts. The word “never” should be replaced with
a non-absolute term.

8. Won’t
The word “won’t” implies an unwillingness, reluctance, or closed
mindedness, and like the absolute term “never,” it is quite
harmful because it closes the door on many of the actions we need
to take to reach our goals.

9. If
This is a small word that carries large doubts and uncertainties,
and when used often, it gnaws away at our confidence and intended
actions, two qualities necessary for any type of success.

10. Try or (I’ll Try)
I don’t know about you, but each time someone has said these words
to me, or the few times that I have used them in conversations
with others, whatever the subject of “I’ll try” was, rarely, if
ever, got done. Replace “I’ll try” with “I will.”

These words must be given serious thought before we use them in
our “self talk” or in the conversations we have with others.

We must remember this: Our words affect our thoughts, our actions,
our very lives, and because of their power, we must choose them
with the utmost care.

Dear Friends,

thanks for tuning in once again. I’m sorry for being off the blog trail for a while, I lost focus due to some domestic upheaval.

The thing that jolted me back in to action was that I just re-watched the video about Codex and I got scared. The impact and implications really hit home this time.

What is Codex?

“Codex Alimentarius” means “food rules” in Latin. The organization was born in 1962 when the UN established the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) as a “Trade Commission”. It was created to regulate, and thus control, every aspect of how food and nutritional supplements are produced and sold to the consumer.

In the video links below DR Rima E. Laibow, M.D explains the implications of Codex which include:

Natural remedies will be classified as toxins and will become illegal to produce, sell, or consume in the the same way that class A drugs such as heroin and cocaine are illegal

It will be illegal for a health practitioner to prescribe natural treatments

It will be compulsory to irradiate our food

It will be compulsory to feed animals growth hormones

It will be compulsory to inject animals with antibiotics

OK you may say, so what to the above, this must be beneficial right?…but here’s the kicker…

The World Trade Organisation and Food & Agriculture Organisations joint projections show that the implementation of Codex will result in a minimum of 3 BILLION deaths worldwide; 1 billion by starvation, 2 billion by preventable diseases from under nutrition. Diseases such as Cancer, Cardiovascular diseases, diabetes.

We have got until December 31, 2009 to stop this. After that date there is no turning back.

What can you do?

Petition your government. In the UK go to:
http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/Vitamins/

Visit the health freedom site at: http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/?page_id=157

Watch this 20 minute video

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5266884912495233634&ei=IE9FSdO8BorMwgPNp93TCQ&q=codex+alimentarius&hl=En

Get a balanced view. Visit the official Codex site at: http://www.codexalimentarius.net/web/index_en.jsp

You will see along side the video many responses from people around the world. There is full spectrum of opinions; some for, some against. Have a read through. If you ignore the ones resorting to personal abuse and profanity there is some reasoned argument.

My opinion is that we have the right to choose how we look after our own health. Freedom is choice, don’t surrender your freedom. If there is a small chance that any of Dr Laibow’s warnings are true we should be scared.

To put this in perspective, it is said that 100 million Africans died in the trans-atlantic slave trade, 72 million people died in World War 2. Even if the predictions were only 1% correct that still means 30million deaths as a result of Codex.

The deadline is December 31, 2009. Sign the UK petition here: http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/Vitamins/

Sleep well.

Until next time.

Greetings once again,

Over the past weeks I have been following John Thornhill’s Internet Marketing Masterclass and we are at a stage now of choosing a subject area or niche within which to create our first product. The advice is to choose a subject that you are passionate about. Passion to me is any strongly felt emotion such as love and the three things that I’m most passionate about are my family, my health and attaining financial independence. I have other passions but these are tops if I am really honest with myself.

I worked through an exercise to narrow down possible subjects by looking at what I have already written about in my blogs, what I consider myself to be good at, what other people tell me I’m good at, what I enjoy doing and my favourite websites. The recurring themes were; running and fitness, healthy food, being practical, living life to its full potential.

Further research on Clickbank and Google keywords revealed that there is lots of interest in dieting, losing fat and getting fit.

It occurred to me that I should use myself as an example. I am 52 next birthday but have a biological age of a man in his 30s. I look (apart from a few grey hairs!), feel and have the same energy now as I did 20 years ago.

This is me on holiday in Barbados last year.

51 Honest!

All this is because I made a lifestyle choice many years ago to stay fit and healthy into my old age i.e. I want to be fit forever. I know we will all die one day but it’s how well you live while you are here that counts. I believe that everyone has the ability to live a vibrant, active, healthy, disease free life until they put the lid on the box. I have always said I’d rather die at 95 landing a Blue Marlin in the Caribbean than being fed my dinner through a straw in a nursing home!

The keyword here is Choice. Everyone has a choice. We all know what we should do. You can choose to veg out in front of the TV every evening or choose to take action, educate yourself about health and nutrition, go for a walk, do anything that nurtures your body.

The secret is to develop a strong vision for your lifestyle and your body. If your vision is strong enough and you constantly remind yourself of your vision you will be pulled toward it. When reaching for that third cream cake you will be in so much conflict with your vision that you will naturally resist and go for a healthier option.

It’s a no brainer that I will be creating products in the Health & Fitness arena, because I passionately believe that good health is our birthright, my goal is that my products will show you how easy it is to achieve.

Until next time, something to think about…..

To keep the body in good health is a duty, for otherwise we shall not be able to trim the lamp of wisdom, and keep our mind strong and clear. Water surrounds the lotus flower, but does not wet its petals.

Hello once again,

It’s great to be back blogging, I have had a few problems with my website which have frustrated me and taken my focus away from the task of creating an online business. I felt unable to progress with the weekly lessons until this was sorted out. Now thanks to the Helpdesk (Daniel take a bow) I’m back on track).

The problems were self inflicted but this episode has taught me a few lessons which I would like to share with you.

Make one change at a time to your site.

Make sure you back up your site BEFORE you make any changes so that you can roll back if something goes wrong. For example, if you are editing your blog simply copy to notepad and save.

Make sure you apply your changes after editing

Seek help at the earliest opportunity. The masterclass support desk are amazing click here

Apply the D.I.Y. rule. i.e. if your not sure what you are doing Don’t Involve Yourself.

Use the experts, they are good at what they do, this will give you the freedom to concentrate on the important stuff like product creation, ideas and innovation, marketing and traffic generation.

It is also wise to back up your blog regularly using Export option in the Tools menu. This allows you to download your blog to your PC where you should take the further step of backing up to CD-R or DVD-R. This may sound like overkill when, like me you are just starting out but, when it becomes your livelyhood and the big bucks start rolling in this step will literally be invaluable.

I hope the above is of benefit to fellow Masterclassers. I welcome any feedback or further suggestions.

Hello again,

I went for my normal Sunday run this morning, the first time in 2 weeks because of a mild chest infection had me coughing like a good’n last week. I enjoy running because of the obvious health and fitness benefits but also it’s a great chance to think, connect with nature, and get centred.

I’ve set some goals to run two half marathons and one full marathon within the next year. I have done half marathons before but have never fancied a full one because of past tales of endurance, pain and suffering before, during and after the race.

I have been reading a fantastic book on running called “Slow Burn” by Stu Mittleman which debunks a lot of myths about endurance running, training and diet. Stu once ran 3000 miles across America in 56 days – that’s more than two marathons a day for 56 consecutive days!

His basic principle is to train your body to use fat as it’s energy source as opposed to sugar. This is done through diet and by keeping the heart rate within the fat burning zone. The optimum zone is calculated based on your age, resting heart rate.

Anyway, I strapped on my heart rate monitor and on a bright, crisp, spring morning I found the pace to be really easy, a light jog which I found myself resisting the urge to stride out as I normally do.

I will be following Stu’s teachings with the intention of having a pain free marathon in a year’s time. I’ll keep you posted on my progress in future blogs.

Until next time

Hi All,

On a serious note:

I am passionate about health and nutrition and was very disturbed when I received the following information from a friend called Peter Pure.

In a nutshell, the pharmaceutical companies want to outlaw all nutrition supplements, herbs and natural remedies. The project is called Codex Alimentarius and will become law on 31st December 2009. There is a petition to stop this madness. Please sign it.

Visit: http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/Vitamins/

From Peter Pure:

I’m sure most of you know I passionately believe in natural clean food because this is all our bodies were designed to take. This is of course for our physical health and we also know what we eat has a massive effect on our mood and emotions too.
Below is the petition. It takes 10 seconds! This is for our health and wellbeing and the health and wellbeing of our children.
Please click on this link below…

http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/Vitamins/

(If you google you will find petitions for your country if you are not a UK citizen)

Codex is due to be passed on 31st Dec 2009 and we have to stop this. If codex were to be passed then all nutrient supplements would be banned, this means vitamins would be illegal in the same way heroin is illegal. This not only would effect us, but would have a disastrous effect on developing countries. Also, all natural herbs would be banned, all alternative remedies would no longer be available…anywhere!
It is the pharmaceutical companies that are behind this. Under codex it would also become law that ALL foods would have to be sprayed with harmful pesticides and ALL animals for food would have be injected with growth hormones and antibiotics that then end up in our bodies. If this happens it would result in more ill health and cancer, so then what would the pharmaceutical companies make? More money..
I know your thinking this sounds far fetched but this is very real.

Greetings,

I was asked how do I get material for my blog. The answer is I don’t know! I often don’t know what I am going to write until I start typing, I just relax, trust and let it flow. This could be a bit worrying because who knows what random, perverse stuff will be dragged up from my subconcious. I think a shrink would have a field day with this and probably have me fitted for a nice canvas jacket with leather straps on the arms!

It’s cathartic though and great exercise for my spell checker. I would recommend blogging not just for the artistic release and a great way of keeping in touch but, as I intend a great way of making some extra dosh.

Through the coming weeks I will be randomly writing about my passions and interests here’s a random list:

Health and fitness, Nutrition, Holistic/alternative medicine, mind-body connection, spirituality, running, workouts, salsa dancing, golf, travel, personal development, psychology, philosophy, financial mastery, making money from the internet (contact me I’ll show you how), contributing to the less fortunate.

A pretty long and diverse list and not complete by any means. I hope there will be enough interest for you to keep tuning in.

Until next time

Greetings,

A week has passed since my last update and I have been beating myself up (mentally) for not following through on my commitment to do at least three blogs during the week. Oh, I have had the usual excuses of being too busy, too tired and at a loss for material.

A few moments reflection lead me to the conclusion that excuses are easy, excuses will not build my business, the only way to play this game is to be outstanding.

Tony Robbins has had a major impact on my thinking and the way I now approach life and in his “Time of Your Life” life management product he says that life is wired as follows:

If you do a poor job you get no rewards

If you do a good job you get poor rewards

If you do an excellent job you get good rewards

If you do an outstanding job you get ALL the rewards

Therefore, in doing the bare minimum you can expect little or nothing for your efforts. Outstanding is a quarter inch above excellence but the rewards are disproportionately greater. It’s unfair, but it’s the way life is wired. Outstanding is when you stand out from the crowd and is how you need to play to be successful.

If you want to be successful, find someone who has achieved the results you want and model what they do to achieve the same results.
Tony Robbins

05:00 Wake naturally give Girlfriend a morning cuddle.

Start the day with an “hour of power” consisting of a few minutes of gratitude for my great life and visualising an amazing day ahead followed by on alternate days, 45minute run or a session at the gym.

Have a breakfast that nourishes and energizes my body before entering my home office.

9:00 I switch on my workstation to see how much money I made whilst I was asleep.

I check and respond to any correspondence before settling down for two hours to creating my next big product.

12:00 A spot of lunch followed by two calls to participants of my one-2-one mentoring programme that I have created for people who want to emulate my success.

All complete by 15:00

16:00 Stop off at the Golf driving range for my lesson to improve my swing

18:00 Stop in to do two hours volunteer work at the Unicef office

20:00 meet up with members of the Internet business mastermind group for a social chat and brainstorming of new money making ideas.

21:00 Spend the evening relaxing with my partner.

Something to think about:

Patience, persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success.

Alarm goes off at 5am, Hit Snooze

5:15 Roll out of bed, Qi Gong stretch and breathing for 10 minutes.

Shower, shave, dress, make breakfast (porridge oats) pour in to vacuum flask, make sandwiches for lunch.

Out the door for 6:30.

Drive 11 miles to site office, Journey time 1 hour 15mins! Gives me time to listen to some Tony Robbins tapes and eat breakfast from my flask whilst stationary in traffic.

8:00 Collect jobs for the day and head off to my first house inspection for 9:00.

13:00 Grab lunch. Chase contractor for missed payments of my invoices now 2 weeks behind.

17:30 Complete 3rd and last property inspection. Head home.

19:00 Arrive home.

My girlfriend has decorated the house with rose petals and candles and prepared a romantic pre Valentines day meal.

I not very good company, after the meal, even though I tried valiantly to stay awake I crash out on the sofa until about 23:00.

23:00 wake up, check emails, write blog.

00:30 Crawl into bed. Girlfriend fast asleep.

Something to think about:

Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better.
